I have made two snipers so far. This my special6 s. This needs to be 6 so you can get the weapon handling perk so you can use the AMR.6 p. Your a sniper, you need to see them before they see you. Also, take the four eyes trait. Glasses are easy to find as there is some in doc Mitchell's place.

Also get the implant and some head gear that boosts perception. All this and you will have 9 for perception which is more than enough.Endurance 6. Does not need to be too high as you are not going to be hit much.Charisma 3. It is a useless stat.Intelligence 7. Always important to have high intelligence in fallout.6 agility. It boosts guns and it is required for perks.Luck 6.

Crits are realy important for snipers and I like to gambleFor perks I would get all the light armor perks as light armor does not hurt your sneak. Better criticals is very important because of sneak crits. Also take all the perks such as snipper and commando for better vats percentages. For weapons I started with the varmint rifle, than to a service rifle, than modded hunting rifle.

In the end I used the AMR and the modded sniper rifle. GRA is good to get so you can mod the AMR.Skills: sneak, guns, and repair. For followers Boon and lily are booth good. Boon can spot but lily helps with sneaking. If you get Boon get rex as rex can distract people from you as he is a melee npc. And take Ed-e if you are taking lily as he boosts perception drastically.Lastly: DO NOT TAKE TRIGGER DISCIPLE The rifles have low spread already, and they shoot slow with out the trait. This is a pretty good build, but I would suggest a few small changes.

I would not put any points into Charisma, as it is really pretty useless to a sniper. Seriously, set this to zero. Put the extra points into luck. I would also suggest boosting Intelligence as high as you can when you start to get the extra skill points. Pick any perks that increase your critical chance.

You really want to try to get one shot kills as often as possible so that enemies can't alert everyone else in the area after getting hit the first time. Strength is also less important to start out, as by the time you can get an AMR you can boost it with the Intense Training perk and implants.

1 Don't take things too literally, especially when exaggeration is obviously being used. 2 You are nitpicking over what would be a very minor error, if you were actually correct. The perk is,.

It can be a really useful perk in that most of the other really early perks you can get are really not that useful, and Intense Training can lead to other, better perks later. As I said, your build is not bad, there are many builds that can work, but some skills and attributes are better for certain builds than others i.e.

Boost your luck and ditch Charisma. For traits, your best bet is some combination of Built to Destroy (bonus crit chance is always nice), Four Eyes (bonus PE is always good), Fast Shot (the accuracy penalty is negligible for a sniper. The extra shots are not), or Small Frame (Can't go wrong with more SPECIAL). I'm currently running Built to Destroy and Fast Shot. Something to keep in mind about Four Eyes: it works by lowering your PE by 1, then giving a bonus of +2 to PE when you wear glasses.

How to become a pack loader game of war. This means that, in terms of qualifying for perks, your PE is one lower than what you set it as. So if you're running Four Eyes, you will need at least 7 PE for the good perks (namely Sniper and Better Criticals)SPECIAL:ST 5 - high strength is only important for using the AMR properly.

Fallout

Buy an implant sometime before then and get Weapon HandlingPE 6 - Nice to have, but more importantly, necessary for the best sniper perks in the game ( Sniper and Better Criticals). Get an implant for this quickly to offset the penalty from Four Eyes, or skip Four Eyes and get the monocyte breeder implant instead.EN 5 - not terribly important for a sniper (you don't plan to get shot, do you?), but nice to keep high for the implants (limited by your EN)CH 3 - dump stat. Only good for helping companions do better in combat. You know what else helps them do better in combat?

Killing all their enemies before the battle even begins.IN 7 - skills points are king in New Vegas. Get an implant for this AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.AG 7 - determines how good you are with a gun.

Also a pre-req for some perks. 6 would get you most useful perks, but 8 is needed for Tunnel RunnerLU 7 - determines base crit chance and good for robbing Vegas blind. Get an implant and the Naughty Nightwear from Mick and Ralphie and use it to fund all these implants you're getting.Tag Sneak, either Repair or Speech, and Guns or Energy Weapons.

I prefer Guns, as they are better than energy weapons as sniping. Focus your points into these skills (but not both guns and e. Weap), as well as Lockpick and Science. As far as gear goes, a varmint rifle will last you a long time. I generally upgrade from there into the Ratslayer (unique varmint rifle with a whopping 5x crit multiplier), then into a sniper rifle (I'd recommend Christine's CoS Rifle), then the modded GRA anti-materiel rifle. Keep to light armor (you're not going to be in combat, so you don't need the heavy stuff, and perks can make light armor really sweet). Leather armor is good at the beginning, but the Assassin Suit is probably the best light armor for sniping (too bad the Stealth Suit Mk II is medium)Perks to look out for include Commando, Finesse, Silent Running, Sniper, Better Criticals, Weapon Handling, and Grim Reaper's Sprint.

Since you're wearing light armor, also take Travel Light, Light Touch, Tunnel Runner, and Implant M-5. M-5 and Tunnel Runner stack, so you'll be sneaking at almost the same speed as running, and even then it will be much higher than the regular value.Companions would probably be Lily or Boone with either ED-E or Rex. Rex can agro the enemy so they aren't killing you. Boone is sniper supreme, and Lily helps with sneak attacks. ED-E becomes a work bench/ammo press mixed with all sorts of miscellaneous goodness thanks to Lonesome Road.

Yes, I do have a ps3. One question for you now. How far are you in the game? Fallout and elder scrolls suffer from a bug that directly relates to the size of your save, which makes the game run worse and worse till it is unplayable. It starts off small, frame rate drop here and there. Then it starts crashing.

New Vegas Sniper Rifle Mod

My main character in both 3 and NV are literary unplayable. I can not walk more than 5 feet before the frame rate drops to almost nothing and than completely crashes. Bethesda has admitted to this bug and patched it in skyrim. They also admitted that it affects the ps3 more. Well fuck is right.

Is the 9000 total for all your saves? 9000kb is not that bad. My main profile was over 17-19mb ish on NV (1600-1700kb). However you are pushing it on F3.

New

Mine was about 20. To help lower your game size do these little tings:Clear useless saves from your hard driveFast travel more and if you go to the wrong place, reload the auto and go to the right place.trust the auto saveREALLY IMPORTANT TO ALL PS3 USERS: I have done an experiment which I remade my 1st character.

This time, however, I would turn off my system through the xmb when ever the frame rate dropped and hindered the game, instead of fighting through it till it froze and had to push the front button to turn it off. Currently I am done with the story, honest hearts, and old world blues and I am having much fewer problems.
